So what is involved?
Every year there is a visit: either our French and German friends come to Cornwall or we travel to France or Germany. In every case we celebrate with a meal and visits to local places of interest. Much of the time is spent with your partner family, enjoying French “bonhommie” or German “Gemütlichkeit”.
Throughout the rest of the year there is a full programme of social events which allow you to share the fellowship of people with common interests: safari suppers, bowling, “pool and boules” afternoons, ceilidhs and French and German evenings are all frequent items on our calendar. A particular highlight is always our annual Burns Night Supper.

Apart from the annual exchange a variety of links are maintained throughout the year. Young footballers from Callington take part in the “Challenge du Printemps”, alongside teams from Paris, Spain, Italy and beyond. Regular visits from local choirs take place both “at home” and “away”, and young musicians participate in concerts.
An annual international youth summer camp, involving young people from Callington, Guipavas, Barsbüttel and Keila (in Estonia) takes place. The first rounds of camps focused on the Environment and the Performing Arts, while the latest round is based on Outdoor Discovery.
